Check-in

Check-in at the Queen Theatre in Downtown Bryan. Open seating will be available on the main floor. Student tickets will provide open seating in balcony. 

Breakfast not included - arrive early to enjoy local fare at The Village Cafe, Harvest Coffee Bar, 3rd on Main, or Kolache Capital

9:00 - 11:30

Session One Demonstration: Woodland Designs & Botanical Couture w/ Francoise Weeks

  • Françoise will share her passion for keenly observing nature through her deeply honed architectural skills. Through her demonstration, we’ll learn about the detail that goes into utilizing logs, barks, branches, mosses, mushrooms, seed pods and berries in rich and textural compositions.

  • Fashion has long been inspired by nature. Francoise will guide us to understanding how natural materials and floral arrangements take their inspiration from Haute Couture as she shares some of the showstopping purses, jewelry and headpieces she designs from flowers and textures.

  • Françoise is recognized for her innovations in wearable floral art and will emphasize her knowledge of the mechanics and material sourcing that are the springboard for stunning creativity.

Note: Feel free to get a closer look and photograph Françoise’s work at the conclusion of the her demonstration.

Lunch

Stroll to one of the Downtown Bryan restaurants within walking distance or grab a bite to go and eat it at the outdoor Palace Theater across the street from The Queen. Boxed lunches are also available for purchase at time of registration. Order a boxed lunch and visit with fellow attendees while eating lunch at the outdoor Palace Theater. 

1:00 - 3:00

Session Two: Large-Scale Event Design w/ Jennifer Ederer

Jenn invites you into her circle to discuss the logistics behind large-scale event designs. From utilizing project management systems, to the recipes behind the line-item pricing, to navigating the actual installations, she will walk you through the most efficient and profitable strategies for high-scale wedding and event designs.

3:00 - 4:00

Afternoon Break

Grab a snack at the Queen Theatre snack bar and enjoy some fresh air exploring Main Street while staff sets up for the live podcast taping. The Botanical Brouhaha Garden Style Shop is just one block away at Market 1023, and we'd love for you to visit!

Botanical Brouhaha Podcast - Live at The Queen Theatre!

 A live Q&A time that should be lots of fun. Our Speakers will answer your questions in a live recording which will air on the Botanical Brouhaha Podcast. Start gathering your questions!

Concluding Remarks

This will mark the official end of the workshop. However, we're hoping you'll hang around and have dinner with your friends - old and new - before joining us for an optional evening gathering. We’ll also announce the details of the next Botanical Brouhaha Workshop Series - returning in November 2019 during the concluding remarks. You don’t want to miss this one!

Grab dinner in Downtown Bryan. Then head over to Market 1023.
